The true heart of the project is for official spaces, like the amphitheater and the reception areas, hosting seminars, lectures and debates; all around, a ring that frames this open nucleus contains community and public spaces, including tech support, consultation centers, meeting points and restauration areas. From here, across a radial structure, branches extend to welcome the various agencies of the UN, symbolically reaching towards multiple horizons.
The open arrangement of the architecture – exemplary in terms of energy use, accessibility and security – encourages direct dialogue with the surrounding landscape and the city. a link that is boosted by the use of local materials for the plantings and the creation of the garden, putting House of UNO into perfect balance with the territorial and international dimension.
