The Miami 2.0 showroom concept in Lacasacontinua by ovre.design

A continuum of convivial environments, traversed by the red thread of prestigious products, crafted by important Italian manufacturers, among marbles, stoneware, and wallpapers. This is the concept crafted by ovre.design for the Lacasacontinua showroom, for which the definition of  ‘showroom’ is perhaps insufficient. Indeed, it is an immersive experience of unity, capable of combining design innovation, luxury, and contemporaneity through tailor-made projects. Every element within Lacasacontinua has been designed and crafted to measure, finished on all surfaces, even the most peculiar ones, such as load-bearing columns, giving life to a scenographic, aesthetically pleasing, and functional environment.

We are in Miami, in one of the most cutting-edge city neighbourhoods, the Design District, between 39th St and Biscayne Boulevard. The context is one of modern and elegant architecture, among exclusive shops, boutiques and art galleries. A perfect expression of the place that hosts it, Lacasacontinua is a harmonious – and continuous – dialogue between Italian culture, contemporaneity, and art, speaking the language of high-end design. Structurally, it occupies an area of about three hundred square meters, with two entrances and three windows on 39th St, where an end-to-end design service is offered for architects, corporate buyers, interior designers, and real estate developers.

Permeated by Miami’s vibrant lifestyle and the excellence of Made in Italy, the project directed by ovre.design is an ideal balance of materials, finishes, and colours with dual functionality. Lacasacontinua has been conceived both as a reference showroom for the selection of surfaces and finishes, of which its interiors offer a precious example, and as a welcoming environment for the creation of projects with customized proposals for luxury residential spaces. Conceived as an open space, defined in different areas, each dedicated to particular types of materials in dialogue with each other, at its centre stands a majestic showcase with wavy art forms, in stoneware, evoking the sea of Miami.

Once inside, the entrance, located on the left, leads to the area dedicated to stoneware finishes, with a kitchen area and an exhibition space for materials. In the same area, there are also large rotating panels dedicated to the placement of large stoneware slabs, with a wide range of finishes. The bar area, facing the entrance, is made of backlit Patagonia marble. The use of stoneware pieces and marble for the refreshment area and finishes highlights the three-dimensionality and quality of the materials.

Great attentiveness has also been paid to accessible services for people with disabilities, where an aesthetic of particular visual impact is found. The entrance to this area is characterized by a red boiserie and a marble sink from the Imera collection, of which the studio is the Creative Director. The experiential atmosphere of the space is further emphasized by the Florim stoneware finishes with LED strips and a number of peculiar furnishing elements, such as the coffee tables by Atelier Carasarda designed by ovre.design.

The thematic focus of the right area of the showroom is the display of marbles and the walk-in closet, enhanced by a distinct wallpaper by Inkiostro Bianco and suede material. Here we also find a meeting area and a library, with exhibited products such as the sinks and the bathtub from the Imrea collection by FMG Shapes designed by ovre.design and the faucets by We are IB.

Such attention to the inclusion of home environments like the kitchen, walk-in closet, and bathrooms, finished in every detail, arises from the desire to recreate real settings within the showroom, with harmonious and creative compositions. Among the prestigious products of Italian companies exhibited here are the Florim stoneware, the marbles of the Imera collection by FMG Shapes, the wallpaper by Inkiostro Bianco, the faucet proposals by We are IB, the furnishings of the Eroato brand, the coffee tables by Atelier Cerasarda designed by the studio, and the Matilde table, also designed by ovre.design, and now part of the ovre.product brand.
